LONDON - Radiologist and cancer imaging expert Nandita deSouza, PhD, has attended nearly every annual meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) since 1991. In this interview, she explains why she returns year after year.
DeSouza also speaks about the importance of involving more women in the activities of ISMRM and how she is spending her retirement.
Prior to her retirement, deSouza was a professor in translational imaging and co-director of the Cancer Research UK Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research Group at the Institute of Cancer Research. She was previously chair of the European Imaging Biomarkers Alliance, part of the European Society of Radiology, and remains a committee member of the group. She is a program committee member for ISMRM 2022.
