ASTRO members see higher dues in 2003

The American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology has raised its annual dues, effective immediately. The new dues are $375 for active, affiliate, and allied members; $270 for international members; and $40 for corresponding and associate members. The membership application fees will remain the same at $20 for active, affiliate, and allied members and $10 for others.

This hike is ASTRO’s first dues increase in four years, according to the society. The additional revenue will be used to support policy initiatives, government relations efforts, and educational programs.

In other news, ASTRO will implement a new governance plan, creating four new councils within the society: education, healthcare economics, government relations, and research. The Fairfax, VA-based society currently has 7,000 members.
