Hitachi to supply therapy system to M.D. Anderson

Hitachi America, Ltd. will be providing a proton-beam therapy system to the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) in Houston. MDACC, along with investment banking firm Sanders Morris Harris, and hospital manager The Styles Company, are building a proton therapy facility that will be located near the MDACC main complex at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The first patient treatments are expected to begin in early 2006, according to Hitachi America.
