X-ray and radiation therapy developer Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, has signed an agreement with the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to provide radiotherapy equipment and services to the institution. As part of the deal, M. D. Anderson has placed an initial $16.8 million order for radiation oncology hardware and software, according to Varian.
