Radiation oncology developer Impac Medical Systems and Siemens Medical Solutions have signed an agreement to use a full DICOM-RT compliant specification for the development of an interface for the firms' products.
Under terms of the deal, the DICOM radiation oncology standard will be used to connect Siemens' Primus and Oncor linear accelerators and Coherence suite of oncology workspace solutions with Impac's oncology management system, according to Mountain View, CA-based Impac.
