Varian Medical Systems will supply nine linear accelerators as part of a radiotherapy equipment project by the British Department of Health. Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology near Liverpool, Christie Hospital in Manchester, Poole Hospital in Dorset, and two London hospitals (Royal Free and St. Bartholomew's) have all selected Varian radiotherapy products, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor.
In addition, Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology will also receive Varian's first On-Board Imager to be purchased under the U.K. government's capital investment program.
