Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific (NAS) said it has been awarded a contract for its Prospera I-125 and Pd-103 brachytherapy sources from Irving, TX-based Novation, the healthcare contracting services firm for VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC).
The dual-source contract, which will become effective on July 15, provides that NAS will be one of only two manufacturers that are awarded agreements to offer brachytherapy sources to VHA and UHC member hospitals, according to the Chatsworth, CA-based firm.
