Radiotherapy firm Accuray of Sunnyvale, CA, will begin offering a treatment planning service to new and existing CyberKnife customers, the company reported.
The service will allow centers to access a team of offsite scientists specializing in CyberKnife radiosurgery treatment planning. The company expects the service to give centers more flexibility and capacity to treat patients without requiring additional staffing.
Treatment planning services are approved for reimbursement through Medicare and other private carriers, according to Accuray.
