Ultrasound and radiotherapy products provider CIVCO Medical Solutions has launched two new products, according to the Kalona, IA-based firm.
The company's RFSuite is a verification system for radiation oncology that uses radiofrequency (RF) technologies to track patients, charts, film folders, and positioning devices. The company has partnered with Solstice Medical of Fort Wayne, IN, to bring the system to market. The package's tracking software, RFTrak, helps users locate specific RF-tagged items.
CIVCO also has launched Body-Lok, a new modular system for radiation therapy and stereotactic body radiotherapy. Body-Lok functions as a base for patient positioning, secure immobilization, and patient transport, the company said. It allows for indexing of patient treatment devices and can be moved as a unit, making it possible for patients to be staged or imaged in another room and then taken back to the treatment room, according to CIVCO.
