Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems has named Andrew Whitman to the newly created position of vice president of government affairs.
Whitman will head a new government affairs office for Varian in Washington, DC, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. He previously led the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA), a division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
