TomoTherapy partners with Vision RT

Radiation therapy firm TomoTherapy has signed an agreement with Vision RT to expand imaging options for its Hi-Art treatment system, the Madison, WI, company said.

Under the collaboration, the companies will introduce AlignRT 3D imaging technology for the Hi-Art platform; TomoTherapy will distribute AlignRT with both its TomoHelical and TomoDirect packages.

AlignRT for the Hi-Art platform features two ceiling-mounted 3D camera units, which can acquire a surface scan of the body in treatment position. Software registers real-time image data to the reference surface scan and then provides coordinates for patient positioning, according to TomoTherapy.
