Radiation therapy firm TomoTherapy is developing a mobile radiation therapy offering, according to the company.
TomoTherapy's Hi-Art treatment system will be placed in trailers for use by customers during new construction, in advance of system installation, to alleviate temporary backlogs, or as a permanent placement for centers that are unable to expand their facility, according to the Madison, WI-based firm. The company said it has entered into discussions with Alliance Oncology of Anaheim, CA, to work together on the development and implementation of the mobile radiation therapy service.
