Radiation oncology system developer Aktina of Congers, NY, has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a new radiation therapy system.
Aktina's pinPoint device uses vacuum fixation technology for localizing both cranial and head/neck treatments, according to Aktina. The system is designed for both stereotactic cranial radiosurgery and stereotactic radiation therapy, the company said
