Accuray introduces Stellar adaptive radiotherapy system

Madison, WI-based Accuray will unveil its adaptive radiotherapy Stellar solution to the U.S. market September 28 at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2025 meeting in San Francisco.

Accuray Stellar is a configuration of the Radixact Treatment Delivery System and offers clinicians access to a range of radiotherapy delivery modalities, from image-guided radiation therapy (IMRT) to stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) treatments and surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT), according to Accuray.

The system expands the range of available radiation delivery options and streamlines the treatment workflow for each patient, regardless of the stage of the patient's cancer journey, Accuray noted.

The adaptive suite provides motion tracking and correction using Synchrony, offline adaptive protocols featuring PreciseART, and an online-adaptive ready interface that is a prerequisite for Online Adaptive Radiation Therapy (OART), the company added.

Accuray also highlighted the Adapt LTE feature, powered by Accuray Cenos and only available on the Stellar, for analyzing historical treatment data against original therapy objectives.

ClearRT helical kVCT imaging, an adjustable kilovoltage (kV) helical fan-beam CT imaging system, serves as the foundation for Accuray adaptive radiotherapy technology, the company noted.
