TeraRecon and Fukuda Denshi have expanded their ultrasound technology development and distribution partnership.
New research and development contracts have been signed, including a 4D imaging pact. The companies have also inked a contract to jointly develop additional ultrasound systems, including portable and cart-based B-mode systems and a next-generation portable color Doppler unit, according to TeraRecon of San Mateo, CA, and Fukuda Denshi of Tokyo.
Future ultrasound systems that are developed cooperatively will be distributed by TeraRecon, in parallel with other existing Fukuda Denshi distributors, according to the firms. In addition, future systems powered by TeraRecon technology will be co-branded with the Fukuda Denshi/TeraRecon brand name.
