Italian imaging vendor Esaote has introduced its second-generation 3D imaging software, Picus-Just 3D.
Picus-Just 3D is available with Esaote's Picus dedicated ob/gyn ultrasound system. Picus-Just 3D users can create photorealistic 3D images and 4D movies while performing a conventional 2D examination, according to the Genoa, Italy-based vendor.
The system also features a stereoscopy feature that allows users to view images with a dimension of depth while wearing special anaglyph glasses, the firm said. Picus-Just 3D can be configured as an upgrade for an installed Picus system or as an option on a new Picus, and can be used with all convex and endocavity Picus probes, Esaote said.
Picus is manufactured by Esaote subsidiary Pie Medical Equipment in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
