The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) has joined the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Foundation's Choosing Wisely campaign to cut unnecessary healthcare utilization.
Choosing Wisely first launched in April 2012 with nine specialty society partners; there are now 37. ASE and other groups have each been invited to release a list -- "Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question" -- at a national event in Washington, DC, on February 21, according to ASE.
