USHIFU changes name to SonaCare

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) developer USHIFU announced it has changed its name to SonaCare Medical.

The name change applies immediately, and it will include a rebranding of all the company's subsidiaries and operating units, including International HIFU and Focus Surgery.

The company said its vision is to develop HIFU surgical ablation systems for a wide range of urological indications, in addition to prostate cancer.
