Neural Analytics has won a $10 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to supply it with a portable point-of-injury version of its Lucid M1 transcranial Doppler ultrasound unit to assess combat-related traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The contract was awarded by the DOD's U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. Neural Analytics will partner with the DOD to develop Lucid for this use over the next 18 months. Lucid M1 will measure and monitor physiological parameters associated with moderate to severe TBI for use in prolonged field care situations, the company said.
