Vemerix, the international medical device brand of Chinese vendor Weihai Medison Medical Equipment, is rolling out its Ultrasound Guidance Puncture Kit to international markets.
The sterile, single-use kit secures an ultrasound probe and puncture needle and keeps the needle path within the imaging plane, allowing operators to track the needle's position on screen in real time during procedures such as vascular access, according to the vendor. The design aims to reduce needle-tip excursion and help avoid posterior-wall penetration, Vemerix said. The kit is offered in four configurations, ranging from a needle-guide bracket to a full procedure kit, across 45 size codes.
The device is registered in China as a class II medical device, and availability in other markets depends on local regulatory requirements. The firm said it's offering the kit to distributors and private-label partners, with guides customized to match customers' existing ultrasound probes.
