Swedish medical technology firm Sectra has won its first order to install a full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system in Germany. The company will install its Sectra MicroDose Mammography system at Klinikum Krefeld in Krefeld.
Klinikum Krefeld will be the second installation of MicroDose Mammography, after a Swedish municipal hospital in Helsingborg. Sectra claims the system offers a five-fold decrease in radiation dose compared with conventional x-ray mammography systems.
