CADx Systems of Beavercreek, OH, will introduce three work-in-progress units, as well as analog/digital and digital versions of Second Look.
The works-in-progress lineup includes two new products designed for low-volume clinics: Second Look Digital CAD/GE RWS, which can review prior digitized and current digital images on a GE Medical Systems review workstation, and Second Look Embark, a smaller analog CAD system with lower throughput capabilities.
CADx Systems will also display a work-in-progress Second Look unit for CT lung and colon studies. For CT lung applications, the product includes features such as detection and characterization of nodules and comparison of nodules from previous exams; for CT colon, the unit features various visualization applications that mark suspicious areas. Second Look CT Lung and Colon is based on an open architecture platform, and can be integrated into any CT scanner or workstation, according to the company.
CADx will highlight Second Look Digital, which is being bundled with GE’s Senographe 2000D and Fischer Imaging’s SenoScan FFDM systems. Finally, CADx will present Second Look AD, which boasts a throughput rate of 45 cases per hour and can run up to 12 images per case. Second Look AD can be used with both analog and digital images, and with multiple acquisition and review workstations. Digitized images, along with CAD results, can be saved to a facility’s PACS network.
