Confirma

Kirkland, WA-based Confirma will feature CADstream 3.0, an updated version of its breast MRI image processing software.

Confirma Wom As clinical indications for breast MRI continue to expand -- they now include high-risk screening, staging, and postsurgical evaluation -- Confirma has continued to develop CADstream. The company’s latest version was cleared by the FDA in October, and replaces its previous offering, CADstream 2.0.

Since it requires only standard DICOM data, Web-based CADstream 3.0 works with any MR imager, according to the company. Its features include volume rendering and calculations, correction for patient movement, angiogenesis maps, subtraction images, contrast uptake and washout curves, as well as multiplanar reformatted images. At the show, Confirma will also present CADstream 4.0 as a work-in-progress, which the company hopes will help radiologists share enhanced breast MRI study information with surgeons more easily.
