Interventional technology developer Suros Surgical Systems has introduced its second-generation ATEC breast biopsy unit. The ATEC Sapphire is an all-in-one vacuum-assisted system compatible with MRI, ultrasound, and stereotactic imaging.
Indianapolis-based Suros also launched three additional products:
ATEC Pearl is a new biopsy system for use with stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
ATEC MRI Access features an MRI-compatible petite needle with a hemispherical tip that allows physicians to biopsy women with thin breasts, to access biopsy targets close to the chest wall, or to biopsy thinly compressed breasts without concern for skin perforation.
ATEC TriMark is a marker deployment system that uses a biocompatible, implant-grade titanium marker with permanent visibility under x-ray, ultrasound, or MRI.
