Radiotherapy developer BrainLab said that users of its ExacTrac X-Ray 6D image-guided radiation therapy system can now receive Medicare reimbursement.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has assigned HCPCS code C9722 (Stereoscopic kV X-ray Imaging) to New Technology APC 1502, with a payment of $75 per treatment fraction, according to the Munich, Germany-based vendor. The reimbursement decision is effective January 1.
