Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare announced the release of version 3.0 of its Cedara xPipe software toolkit.
Cedara xPipe automates the image processing tasks performed by computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) consoles, eliminating many of the manual tasks typically performed for improved patient throughput, according to the Milwaukee-based firm.
The toolkit features the Cedara Image Enhancement module, which targets specific noise patterns for superior image quality with reduced noise, sharpened anatomical boundaries, and improved contrast. The Cedara Exposure Index is also included for automated quality control of radiation dose and image quality, Merge said.
