Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA, has appointed John Pavlidis as its president and CEO.
Pavlidis brings more than 15 years of technical and executive management experience in the medical industry, primarily at multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA. He replaces William Mercer, director, who has served as the firm's interim president and CEO since June 2004 following the departure of R2's previous chief executive, Michael Klein.
