Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Medipattern has installed its B-CAD 2.2 software at General Hospital in Salzburg, Austria.
B-CAD is designed to receive ultrasound images from the Voluson E8 ultrasound system from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., by way of a direct link to a GE Centricity PACS.
B-CAD outlines the edge of the lesion and characterizes the lesion to aid in the diagnostic interpretation assessment of the lesion as either probably benign or probably malignant, according to Medipattern of Toronto.
