New applications boost CAD in Europe

The European computer-aided detection (CAD) market produced revenues of $116.9 million in 2007, and is expected to reach $449.8 million by 2014, according to a report from market research firm Frost & Sullivan.

Increasing awareness of prevention and treatment options available to treat early-stage cancer make screening and detection aids important to radiologists, according to the San Antonio-based firm.
