Taiwan-based artificial intelligence (AI) software company Deep01 has raised $2.7 million in funding for its solution to help clinicians accurately interpret CT brain images.
Consumer notebook developer ASUSTeK Computer led the funding round, which also included support from Digital Economy Fund and BE Capital.
The funding will help expand Deep01's AI software, which can detect acute intracerebral hemorrhage in the emergency department. The algorithm takes 30 seconds per case and has an accuracy of up to 95%, according to the company.
Deep01 has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration. The algorithm is currently used in two medical centers and four local hospitals in Taiwan.
