medQ is featuring a suite of radiology informatics applications at RSNA.

Medq Ris Radiology informatics developer medQ of Dallas is showcasing its family of products on the exhibit floor at McCormick Place. The firm’s offerings, targeted at the small- and medium-size hospital as well as the imaging center market, will be available beginning December 1.

The vendor will be highlighting a clutch of applications including its Q/ris 3.0 RIS; Q/report Dictation 3.0 for voice recognition and digital dictation; Q/report Transcription 3.0; Q/web Referring Physician’s Desktop 3.0 for remote scheduling, ordering, report, and image access for referring physicians through Microsoft Internet Explorer; Q/link Gateway 3.0 HL7 interface; Q/link PACS Broker 3.0 DICOM interface; and Q/link Workflow Manager 3.0 modality-performed procedure step with HL7/DICOM connectivity.

The applications are based on a scalable three-tier client/server/database architecture residing on a Windows 2000/XP and SQL Server platform. In addition, medQ includes an internal DICOM toolkit that enables an interface to any PACS, according to the company. Pricing for the products is by implementation, medQ said.
