Impac Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA, has signed an OpenRT certification agreement with Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands, the parent company of Andover, MA-based Philips Medical Systems. The OpenRT certification establishes compliance, validation, deployment, and support standards for the interoperability of treatment planning systems with Impac’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in preparation for cancer-care treatment delivery, according to the company.
The firm currently has signed agreements with radiation therapy vendor NOMOS of Cranberry Township, PA, computerized radiation treatment planning software developer Computerized Medical Systems of St. Louis, and Philips.
