Philips and Sectra ink deal for multilingual speech recognition

Vienna-based Philips Speech Processing will integrate its speech recognition software for the Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish languages into the radiology information technology systems of Sectra, following the signing of a partnership agreement between the firms.

Sectra, of Linköping, Sweden, will assist Philips in developing a Swedish radiology vocabulary for Philips’ SpeechMagic, the company’s proprietary speech recognition technology. SpeechMagic supports radiology vocabulary in 11 languages.
