Healthcare information systems provider Cerner reported second-quarter revenues of $207.7 million, up 11% compared with $186.8 million in the same period last year. For the quarter (end-June 28), the Kansas City-based firm had net earnings of $8.9 million, compared with $14.7 million (including $2.7 million in gains from the sale of WebMD shares) in the second quarter of 2002.
In quarterly highlights, the firm installed a record 302 Millennium applications in the quarter, up from the previous quarterly record of 172. Cerner projects that third-quarter revenue will be between $210 million and $215 million.
