Information systems firm WebMD Practice Services has installed its technology at two imaging facilities in the western U.S., according to the Van Nuys, CA, company, formerly known as Medical Manager Health Systems.
In the first deal, New Hope Imaging Center of Fountain Valley, CA, will install WebMD’s RIS product at a new multimodality imaging center it is opening soon. The installation will include an HL7 interface to a PACS network from Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA.
In the second deal, Medical Imaging NW of Lakewood, WA, will install WebMD’s Intergy practice management system as part of its migration to a paperless office environment. The software provides integrated scheduling, integrated billing, collections, transcription management, clinical task workflow, integrated document management, and the InfoPoint business intelligence system. The center will later add on Intergy’s integrated RIS, according to WebMD.
