Canadian medical imaging and PACS software developer Cedara Software has introduced I-Reach v3.0, an Internet-based medical image viewer for PACS. The product allows hospitals and clinics to acquire, distribute, and archive medical images and diagnostic reports across the Internet, Cedara said.
I-Reach allows physicians to link comparison studies and display images in tile or stack mode. It also includes user-configurable options to add features such as multiple high-resolution monitors, advanced image viewing protocols, and clinical add-on packages to the PACS, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm.
The product can also be integrated into a facility’s HIS/RIS environment or with a third-party DICOM archive, Cedara said. In addition, clinical add-on packages such as image manipulation, multiplanar reformat, maximum intensity projection, viewing protocols, and libraries are available for the I-Reach application.
