WebMD Practice Services

Intergy to be unveiled at RSNA.

WebMD Practice Services of Van Nuys, CA, is presenting its Intergy suite of informatics and imaging products for imaging facilities on the exhibit hall floors of this year’s RSNA. The suite of products includes integrated RIS, PACS, dictation and voice recognition, practice management, and document and image management, along with an optional HL7 interface for third-party systems. The single integrated solution is designed to allow imaging centers to manage all aspects of their practice, said WebMD.

At the heart of the product family is the company’s WebMD Intergy RIS. The application shares the same patient database as WebMD Intergy. Together, these systems offer expanded workflow automation for imaging professionals, including visit/study screens, automatic events/actions (flow tracking), transcription management report distribution with automated faxing, referring doctor preferences, appointment-to-charge posting, technologist tracking, and report approval.

In addition, the RIS features integrated clinical charts, encounter documentation, document and image management, clinical workflow management, transcription management, dictation, electronic prescriptions, a PACS interface, and electronic lab requests and results.

The next entry from the firm is its imaging application, an integrated document- and image-management system that allows facilities to convert hard-copy documents and images into electronic formats while maintaining their original format. Scanning stations can be created to allow users to scan everything from explanations of benefits (EOBs) to patient photos to referring physician reports.

The company is showcasing its WebMD InfoPoint, an ad-hoc reporting and business intelligence solution that makes it possible for users to query, analyze, and export data to view administrative, financial, or clinical information in a variety of formats. Also bundled with the WebMD Intergy family is a dictation solution includes both Dictaphone PowerScribe’s product line and Provox Technologies’ TalkNotes product line for voice recognition and dictation.

Rounding out the WebMD Intergy solution suite is an HL7 Interface Engine application. This program enables Intergy software and the Intergy RIS to interface with third-party voice recognition and PACS systems, in addition to a HIS, WebMD said.
