Kodak will introduce its RIS 2010 to the U.S. market at the show.
Available previously in Europe and Australia, RIS 2010 handles all aspects of image and information workflow, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. Capabilities include appointment scheduling, patient exam tracking, billing, and report generation and distribution.
In other RIS-related introductions, Kodak will point to two new professional services programs. Healthcare Integration Services links a Kodak PACS and RIS with existing enterprise-wide RAID storage devices and HIS/RIS systems. This program also provides modality integration between RIS and PACS, Kodak said. Another professional service, Secure E-mail Service, encrypts e-mail messages and their attachments so that patient information and images can be sent securely over the Internet in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
