XIMIS

XIRIS 5.0 set for RSNA demonstration.

RIS developer XIMIS of El Paso, TX, will be demonstrating its XIRIS 5.0, eXtended Internet Radiology Information System, to attendees of the 2003 RSNA conference. The Web-based application manages patient registration, scheduling, exam tracking, staff and resource management, and the generation of reports and statistical information.

It is platform- and database-independent, permitting the server to work on Unix/Linux and Microsoft Windows and the client to work on Windows, Macintosh, and Unix/Linux operating systems.

XIRIS 5.0 features a flexible report builder, telescheduling, center snapshot reports, registration, billing and accounting, a multicenter RIS-Backbone, film tracking, digital dictation and transcription, as well as digital data acquisition. The application also supports DICOM worklist manager, automated report distribution, referring physician remote access, mammography tracking, nuclear medicine grouping, a Pocket RIS functionality, and an XMP broker (HL7 and DICOM), XIMIS said.

The product, targeted toward radiology centers and hospitals, will be available worldwide in January.
