Empiric adds Encompass RIS/PACS solution to its lineup.
Empiric Systems of Raleigh, NC, will be spotlighting its Encompass Web-based RIS/PACS solution at the 2003 RSNA conference. The system features full RIS, PACS, and billing capabilities, along with a host of staffing management and quality assurance tools, all residing on a single database, the company said.
The system functions comprise registration, scheduling, transcription, faxing, digital dictation, PDA support, billing, mammography tracking, document imaging, and management reporting functions. Also included are e-signatures, referring physician access, staff tracking (competencies, time, and continuing education), equipment tracking, e-bulletin board, RIS-integrated workstation, image archive and routing, integrated Web PACS viewer, and e-learning tools.
The product is targeted toward imaging centers and small hospitals, and both capital and per-procedure pricing models are available, Empiric said.
