Agfa will be highlighting an integrated RIS/PACS/speech network as well as a work-in-progress version of its TalkStation speech recognition software.
An integrated PACS, RIS, and speech recognition offering, Impax 5.0 enables customers to install any of the three offerings as a standalone application or as an integrated package, according to the Ridgefield Park, NJ-based vendor.
In speech recognition developments, Agfa will show a work-in-progress version of its TalkStation software. TalkStation 3.0, scheduled for release in early 2004, includes a number of enhancements such as Dragon v7, improved security features, new workflow options, and improved client maintenance capabilities.
Inclusion of Dragon v7 offers improved recognition accuracy and enhanced user satisfaction, according to the vendor. New security features include a 'lockout after failed attempts' function, recording of log-ins and log-outs, and improved control over who can view a report.
In workflow enhancements, a "send to correctionist" capability will allow for editing gains, while improved client maintenance capabilities will ease future upgrades, Agfa said.
