Horizon Radiology Manager debuts at RSNA.

McKesson Information Solutions will unveil its new Web-based workflow management system for tracking and managing patients, films, and supplies. Horizon Radiology Manager runs on Intel hardware and features a full range of application modules including order management, mammography, electronic signature, film management, claims preparation, system administration, and management reporting tools, said the Richmond, British Columbia-based firm.

Optional modules include Horizon Radiology Scheduling for departmental scheduling and Horizon Radiology Reporting for transcription, digital dictation, and voice recognition. Horizon Radiology Manager is available as either a stand-alone solution or integrated with Horizon Medical Imaging in Horizon Radiology, McKesson’s image-enabled enterprise image and information management suite.

The product, targeted toward radiology departments for acute care and outpatient departments in all sizes of hospital enterprises, is available now in the U.S. and is slated to be available in the rest of the world in 2005, according to the company.
