Healthcare informatics firm iAtrogenix has completed an agreement with Carondelet Health Network in Tucson, AZ, to provide its referral management communications application.
The product enables referring physicians to submit scheduling requests and patient information electronically rather than by telephone or fax, according to iAtrogenix. The modular application also comes with secure e-mail, electronic report distribution, electronic HIPAA-compliant pre-authorization, encrypted instant messaging, and physician relationship report capabilities, iAtrogenix said.
Carondelet has been using the system with its Carondelet Medical group for the past nine months, and is now expanding its use to other community physicians, the company said.
