IDX adds to executive lineup

Healthcare information systems provider IDX Systems has named Thomas Butts to the position of president and chief operating officer (COO) of the company and Stephen Gorman as president and general manager of the Burlington, VT-based company’s Groupcast operating unit.

Butts will have overall responsibility for the IDX operating units -- Flowcast, Groupcast, Carecast, and Imagecast -- as well as the company’s Six Sigma initiative. He will report to James Crook, IDX CEO.

Gorman, who has served as general manager of the practice management and electronic data interchanges services unit, will report to Butts, IDX said.
