ORLANDO, FL - Storage-management provider EMC of Hopkington, MA, has been tapped to roll out its information life cycle management (ILM) software at OSF Healthcare System.
OSF, an integrated network of seven healthcare facilities in Illinois and Michigan, will deploy a range of networked storage and open software as part of the ILM system. ILM creates storage tiers, offering varying levels of availability, performance, and cost, said EMC.
OSF Healthcare System's 80-terabyte EMC infrastructure will span multiple storage tiers based on business processes and application requirements. As part of its ILM strategy, OSF is also upgrading to the latest version of EMC's ControlCenter storage-management software, the company said.
