eMed Technologies and Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Group have completed the integration of version 4.6 of Dictaphone's PowerScribe Workstation speech recognition software with version 1.1 of eMed's Matrix PACS offering.
The direct application programming interface (API) integration allows radiologists to employ a single workstation for image acquisition and diagnostic reading, through dictation and review of recognized text to final report editing, according to Dictaphone of Stratford, CT, and eMed of Burlington, MA.
The interface supports dual login, automatic dictation initiation, image/report synchronization, automatic screen synchronization of applications on the same desktop, and reduction in steps to complete the interpretation within both applications, according to the vendors.
