Healthcare information technology provider WebMD Practice Services booked second-quarter revenues of $71.8 million, down 6.5% compared with the $76.8 million reported in the same period last year. The quarter (end-June 30) showed the continued impact of longer sale and installation cycles, as well as lower system margins, according to the Van Nuys, CA-based vendor.
WebMD Practice Services said that it expects its profit margins to grow in the second half of the year, thanks to investments in customer service, information infrastructure, and clinical software.
