Radiotherapy provider Nucletron recently unveiled a new version of its intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) planning system, Oncentra Optimizer.
The system is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2005 and was previewed at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) meeting in Pittsburgh last month, said Nucletron of Veenendaal, the Netherlands. The Optimizer module was developed as part of a collaborative venture with Stockholm-based RaySearch Laboratories, and increases the speed of IMRT plan calculations, according to Nucletron.
