HIMSS Analytics, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's (HIMSS) for-profit healthcare analysis division, has selected its leadership team. Michael Davis, formerly managing vice president of Stamford, CT-based healthcare research and advisory services Gartner, has been named executive vice president, products and services.
Cynthia Porter, former president of Norcross, GA-based market research firm Porter Research, has been tapped as executive vice president, sales and marketing. Ralph Wakerly, former marketing vice president of Long Beach, CA-based First Consulting Group, was selected as vice president, market research services. Lisa Decker, former vice president of product operations and client services for Sheldon I. Dorenfest & Associates, was named vice president of operations.
In other news, the society and the Midwest Alliance for Nursing Informatics (MANI) have unified, according to Chicago-based HIMSS.
The society said that the nursing informatics membership community will have its own volunteer leadership under the strategic direction of the HIMSS board of directors, further expanding the scope of activities for nurse leaders currently active as HIMSS members.
