Varian Medical Systems has formed an oncology information systems unit, hiring imaging IT veteran Chris Hanna to lead it as vice president.
The new unit, housed within Varian's oncology systems business, will be tasked with developing and marketing the Palo Alto, CA-based firm's informatics software, including its VARiS Vision and OpTx software for practice management in cancer clinics.
Hanna comes to Varian after serving as CEO and co-founder of image management firm TeraMedica of Milwaukee.
